Case Study Zero: building a personal identity that search and AI understand

Before offering Personal Intelligence to anyone else, SI1 is applying the method to its own founder, in public.

The question. Can a deliberate, structured personal footprint lead Google and AI assistants to describe a person accurately and consistently?

The context. Christian Ganaban has more than 20 years in marketing, across a long list of companies, brands and ventures. Most of that history was never written down in one place. Search results and AI answers could only piece together fragments, so the picture they gave was incomplete.

The approach

What we did.

  • Identity strategyA written plan for how the name should be understood, and a target to own most of the first page of results for a search of "Christian Ganaban".
  • An entity hubganaban.com rebuilt from a single page into a six-page site: home, about, and career chapters documenting each major role.
  • Connected profilesganaban.com, the SI1 founder page, LinkedIn, Substack and social profiles linked to each other consistently.
  • Structured dataPerson schema on the SI1 founder page, linked to ganaban.com and to SI1 as the organisation he founded.
  • A publishing rhythmSubstack repositioned as a personal publication with recurring series, including a career series, "What Work Taught Me".
Build log

Timeline.

Updated as the case develops. Last updated 29 September 2026.

  1. Personal brand strategy written: ganaban.com as the hub, with the target of owning most first-page results for the name.

  2. Substack repositioned from a family-history publication to a personal publication with regular series.

  3. SI1 founder page published with Person schema linking SI1, Christian Ganaban and ganaban.com.

  4. ganaban.com rebuilt from one page to six, with career chapters and links to every official profile.

AI and human

Who did what.

The line between the two is part of the method.

AI

Researched and drafted the strategy, site structure, page copy and structured data.

Human

Supplied the history, facts and photography, checked every claim, and approved what was published.

Next
  • Record a baseline snapshot of search results and AI answers for the name
  • Confirm two-way links across every profile
  • Publish further career chapters and the first Substack series
Lesson so far. A person's history is easier to structure than most people expect. The hard part is getting the facts together and checked before anything is published.
